A New Kind of Cambridge Culinary School
Cambridge culinary school graduate Lori Leinbach wasn't about to take her hard-earned culinary expertise and apply it to spending long hours in someone else's kitchen.
Instead, according to a recent article from news site Wicked Local Southborough, Leinbach took her culinary arts degree from the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and used it to found her own Cambridge culinary school: Culinary Underground.
Named for her house, which is built into a hillside, Leinbach's Cambridge culinary school may not be handing out degrees, but whether you're an amateur or a serious cook looking to learn anything from basic knife skills to the fine art of cheese-making, you'll feel right at home at Culinary Underground.
While Leinbach tends toward perfectionism—no eyeballing measurements allowed in her kitchen, thank you very much—her students report that her teaching background really helps when it comes to offering light, helpful instruction.
For her part, Leinbach strives to create a relaxed atmosphere at her Cambridge culinary school, noting that cooking is easy when it's fun.
