Culinary school students might be interested to know that a Floridian restaurant chain is temporarily expanding its menu into Alpine-themed dishes.

The Melting Pot Restaurant, a series of individually franchised restaurants all over the U.S., will begin serving Swiss, German and French-style fondue for a limited time on September 19.

"This Big Night Out Alpine-themed menu takes The Melting Pot guests back to where fondue originated, the Alps," said The Melting Pot's Chef Shane Schaibly, who attended a culinary school in North Miami, Florida. "The menu includes basic ingredients of fondue from the birthplace of where it all started and highlights delicious recipes from old-world Switzerland, Germany and France."

The Big Night Out menu was developed by Schaibly along with the restaurant's executive leadership team, who verify each ingredient and collect feedback from franchisees. The Big Night Out menu changes every six months and The Melting Pot continues to invest heavily in this feature in spite of the current economic climate in the U.S.

A career as a full time cook is a great way to make a living because many Americans have a diverse palate and the U.S. is full of foreign and domestic-style restaurants. If the world of international culinary arts interests you, enroll in culinary arts school today.
