All four of Institute of Technology's conveniently located campuses are in California. The four cities in which our fine campuses can be found are Citrus Heights, Clovis, Modesto, and Redding. Based on demand and location, each campus may offer a different set of career training programs.

Our exciting list of vocational training programs covers careers in accounting, allied health, computer technology, criminology, culinary arts, network technology, nursing, and web/graphic design. Our class schedules are flexible, and our instructors provide classroom instruction balanced with ample hands-on training.

Our core curricula can have you prepared for an exciting new career in as little as eight months! We even offer job placement services aimed at assisting you in your job search after graduation.

Diploma - Culinary Arts Professional

If you've been considering culinary arts school in the California area, learn more about the programs available at Institute of Technology!

Once you complete the Culinary Arts Professional diploma program at Institute of Technology, you can have the skills, knowledge and experience that can qualify you to work as a professional chef, dessert specialist, catering manager, restaurant manager, or food and beverage manager.

Institute of Technology's Culinary Arts Professional program builds on the Culinary Arts Specialist program, offering over twice as much classroom training and academic time. In addition to helping you develop your knowledge of the concepts, preparation and basic skills in the classroom, we give you hands-on experience with a 180-hour externship – the conclusion to our extensive program.

Through your application of the program's materials, you can develop professionally and feel more confident in the kitchen. The Culinary Arts Professional program consists of the training and development of skills you may need to qualify for employment in the culinary or food service industry.

Diploma - Culinary Arts Specialist

If you are interested in finding a California culinary arts school, this can be it. Institute of Technology's Culinary Arts Specialist program can not only give you the overall knowledge of food safety and sanitation, it can also teach you industry-relevant skills necessary to be a Culinary Arts Specialist.

Along with the basic knowledge, including concepts of the food service industry, students can be taught how to create pastries and baked goods, develop and improve their skills in the kitchen, discover the art of garde manger, prepare French and classic cuisine presentations, and even participate in a five-week externship in a professional kitchen.

In addition to these skills, you will receive the proper tools. A culinary kit is included with the cost of the program!

Upon graduation, students can have met the American Culinary Certification standards for Safety and Sanitation, Supervisory Management and Nutritional Certifications.
