Star Career Academy is a private, post-secondary trade school, licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. We are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), offering programs in the fields of Culinary, Computers, Medical, and Business. The purpose of our programs is to prepare a student to gain an entry-level position immediately upon graduation.
The method of instruction is individualized and employs classroom learning as well as group interaction. We place an emphasis on relating classroom instruction with current practices within the work environment. Star Career Academy's curriculum was also designed for returning adult students who want to advance in their current career, change their current field of employment, or return to the work environment retooled for the new millennium.
For the convenience of our students, Star Academy offers day and evening classes. Students can complete their field of study in under a year for most programs.

This commercial cooking school focuses on "learning by doing" in areas such as food preparation, catering, skills development and quantity food production. Students are provided with uniforms and a complete knife set. A special externship helps you prepare for an exciting position in the culinary arts after graduation. The program prepares graduates for entry-level employment as a prep cook's assistant, line cook, short-order cook, pantry person, baker, garde manger, or sous chef in culinary establishments including restaurants, corporate dining rooms, hospitals, hotels, and catering companies. Front desk procedures are emphasized, along with housekeeping, security, human resources, sales and marketing, event management, food and beverage, and a variety of essential restaurant operations. Graduates work in hotels, resorts, restaurants, caterers and cruise lines in a wide variety of positions including: guest services agent, housekeeping coordinator, sales/marketing assistant, human resources assistant, accounting assistant, food and beverage assistant manager, event planner, assistant restaurant manager, kitchen manager and food pantry agent. Special attention is always given to the practical side of professional food preparation. Upon graduation, you will be prepared for any number of culinary careers in restaurants, bakeries, food service departments of corporations and health-related institutions, as well as in the rapidly expanding fields of catering and "food to go". Students are provided with uniforms and a complete knife set. More than just a cooking school, graduates of this culinary arts program are fully prepared to fulfill many entry-level food service roles, including sous-chef, garde manger, baker, pantry person, short-order cook and line cook.
