The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Vancouver

At The Art Institute of Vancouver, you'll learn what it takes to become a creative professional. Here, you'll learn how to create a portfolio that shows what you can do. That's called having an edge. Standing out. And offering employers the kind of talent they're looking for.

What separates us from other institutions? Professionalism. Industry informs us that the key indicators of life-long success are attitude, team skills and a strong work ethic. We believe these assets are just as important to success as exceptional technical and artistic skills. Our instructors work hard to impress upon students the importance of good communication skills, a goal-oriented mindset and strong team skills. We encourage students to be adaptable, have a positive attitude and be accountable for their actions.

About Us

You enter college with your talents and dreams. At The Art Institute of Vancouver, we see our role as providing those educational services that help you develop your potential.

At The Art Institute of Vancouver, education is not a process where we hand you skills and knowledge. You must take responsibility and get involved. Here, you learn from artists and professionals in a hands-on environment. You have the opportunity to make both professional contacts and lifelong friends. On your part it means engaging fully, eyes and mind wide open.

There's a vibrant energy here, one that fuels a desire to do your best. You are supported by a close and caring community bound by mutual respect for individuality and creativity. You are also part of the Vancouver area creative scene and can contribute to the texture that makes it one of the world's most desirable regions. An education from The Art Institute of Vancouver means something.

Faculty

Many of our faculty are experienced professionals with impressive achievements in their fields of expertise. They continue to be involved in contemporary creative trends and techniques and share that knowledge with their students. Our faculty know first-hand what employers need and they provide practical, hands-on education that meets those needs.

Career Services

Getting an education is a major goal, but it's one which usually leads to the real goal - landing that all-important first job that launches your career. To help make that leap, our students turn to the personalized, comprehensive services offered by the school's Career Services Department.

Ideal Locations

Sandy beaches, lush rainforests, and rugged mountains: Few destinations on the planet are as beautiful and dynamic as Vancouver.
