The Chefs Academy - Indiana Business College

For over 100 years, Indiana Business College's number one goal has been to educate students and have them become productively employed. The college has developed an enviable reputation as a dedicated two-year Associate of Applied Science degree-granting institution graduating students from job-oriented programs into successful careers. Our new culinary division is being designed to honor the 100-year history of IBC and to convey our progressive vision of tomorrow.

Accreditation

Indiana Business College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award Certificates, Diplomas and Associate of Applied Science degrees.

Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts

This program is designed to provide hands-on training in practical food preparation skills, preparation and presentation of classic and international cuisine, store room operations, nutrition, safety, sanitation, food selection and purchasing. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates can pursue entry-level positions as cooks, line cooks and assistant pastry chefs. With experience and the foundation provided through the well-balanced curriculum, graduates are on a career path ready to assume chef status and opportunities as sous chefs, head chefs and pastry chefs.
